About Debark
A tool for getting software onto Debian and Ubuntu machines without internet access.
Why it exists
Copying a .deb file to an offline machine is easy. Finding every dependency it needs takes more work. Debark uses apt with your chosen baseline OS or target snapshot to prepare the downloads for you.
The CLI handles the full process, with interactive prompts or direct commands. The desktop app adds a package browser and a guided way to build and export bundles on your online computer.

Free and open source
The CLI and desktop app share one public repository and the Apache-2.0 licence. No account, subscription, or telemetry.
Preparing, inspecting, transferring, verifying, and installing bundles are community functionality. The free/paid policy records that commitment. See the notices and trademark policy for attribution and branding.
Project status
CLI and desktop downloads are available. Debark is pre-1.0, so minor releases may introduce breaking changes. Linux is the main platform; Windows desktop is experimental and macOS CLI use requires a source build. Check known limitations and platform requirements for the scope of testing.
